Driving studio engineering activities to enable feasible and high-quality production design proposals for both Exterior and Interior
Leading the development of vehicle package layouts, architecture concepts and technical feasibility studies to support the design process from concept to production
Creating and maintaining high-quality 3D data and technical drawings using CATIA, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and project requirements
Acting as a key interface between Design, Engineering and external partners, clearly translating engineering constraints into design solutions
Analyzing, validating and resolving package, feasibility and integration issues, and presenting technical topics to management and stakeholders
Supporting concept and show car projects by developing forward-thinking and innovative package strategies that enable design vision
Managing and coordinating component sourcing activities with European vendors including feasibility discussions, technical alignment and part development support
Working across both digital development environments and physical vehicles including hands-on validation, mock-ups, and prototype evaluations
Conducting competitive benchmarking activities (including driving events and clinics) and translating insights into actionable design/engineering improvements
Building strong and trustful collaboration with HMETC teams, global engineering counterparts, and external suppliers
Who we are looking for
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 4 years of experience in automotive engineering, ideally in vehicle packaging, studio engineering or concept development
Strong proficiency in CATIA (3D modeling, packaging and technical surface understanding is essential)
Solid understanding of vehicle architecture, package constraints and full-vehicle integration
Proven experience or strong capability in working with European suppliers/vendors, including technical discussions and sourcing coordination
Ability to work seamlessly between digital development (CAD/data) and physical vehicles (prototypes, show cars, validation)
Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and the ability to make engineering trade-offs
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical topics clearly to design and management teams
Very good command of English and German language, strong intercultural communication skills
Passion for innovation and a good understanding of automotive trends and technologies
