To start shortly, we are currently seeking a

(Sr.) Engineer for Chassis Controls Engineering Design (M/F/D)

You will be responsible for

  • Develop, implement and validate active control strategies and algorithms for an active suspension system
  • Be responsible for control design, simulation, real-time implementation, and validation of advanced suspension control strategies to improve ride comfort, handling, and vehicle stability and optimize trade-offs between ride comfort, road holding, and energy consumption
  • Develop and maintain vehicle and suspension models. Perform control design and validation using MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Conduct simulation studies under various road and driving scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive software and safety standards.
  • Support M/S/HiL & vehicle testing activities. Analyze test data & refine control strategies based on performance metrics.
  • Work closely with vehicle dynamics, mechanical, and software teams.
  • Document control concepts, algorithms, and test results for internal and external stakeholders.

Who we are looking for

  • Degree in Control, Mechanical and/or Automotive Engineering, Robotics, or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional automotive industry experience ideally with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier
  • Solid knowledge of control theory, vehicle dynamics, and real-time embedded systems
  • Experience in modeling and tuning of control algorithms for active and/or semi-active suspension systems linked with ride comfort and handling features, practical experience with simulation and testing workflows including HiL / SiL / DiL and vehicle level calibration to verify controllers against performance targets
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for dynamic modeling and control simulation, experience generating embedded code from models and/or writing control software (e.g., C/C++, Python) for testing and ECU implementation, comfortable with data acquisition, CAN bus protocols and test analysis using standard automotive tool chains
  • Good market knowledge of chassis controls technologies and requirements
  • Strong proactive attitude and innovative mind with a strategic, organized, but very flexible working style
  • Analytical thinker with clear, output driven communication and strong deadline driven performance
  • Willing to travel frequently, good level of English in speech and writing, in possession of valid European driver license B
