To start shortly, we are currently seeking a

(Sr.) Engineer Ride & Handling Performance Development (M/F/D)

You will be responsible for

  • Development of Ride & Handling performance characteristics for Hyundai/Kia/Genesis vehicles
  • Objective measurements of ride comfort, handling, steering according to HMG process
  • Support objective target setting and correlation to subjective evaluations
  • Continuously review and improve measurements process (incl HW/SW)
  • Performance target definition for components and systems of new vehicle projects
  • Project planning whilst ensuring optimal usage of budget, resources and timeframe
  • Reporting and documentation of test results in English language
  • Close cooperation with HMETC departments, R&D Center in Namyang (South Korea) and main supplier

Who we are looking for

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or similar
    >3 years of experience in the field of ride and handling development for an automotive OEM or tier 1 supplier
  • Experience in the field of objective static & dynamic vehicle measurements (Steering & Handling and Ride Comfort)
  • Software skills in MATLAB, LMS Test.Lab, DIAdem or similar
  • Experience with vehicle dynamics measurement equipment (steering robot, inertial platform) is a plus
  • Knowledge, interest and passion concerning vehicle dynamics
  • Willingness to travel and to work in an international / intercultural environment
  • Excellent analytical skills, pro-active attitude, very good command of English language
  • Proficient in reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel
